The key to being a successful provider of third-party logistics (3PL or TPL) and supply chain management comes down to the businesses ability to identify engage and work with third-party organisations to outsource elements of their distribution and fulfilment proposition to best serve their customer needs.

IT PARTNERSHIP
We recognised the opportunity and became an early adopters with our Think It Warehouse Management System developers, by investing in their business and using our own national warehousing facilities to test and develop the WMS packages. These systems are not only are at the core of what we do today in our own warehouse facilities, but also are systems that we can flex, develop and even resell within our existing customer base.

QUALITY PARTNERSHIP
Our relationship with CK Quality, a Midlands based specialist in supply chain quality inspection, sorting, quality containment and rework, has been formalised after three years of successfully working together with Amco’s 1st tier and 2nd tier Automotive customers.
CK Quality have been providing inspection and containment services to the manufacturing industry for over 15 years and operate from centralised headquarters in Coventry in close proximity to AMCO’s 110,000 sq. ft bonded warehouse facility Amco Park and our Redditch Regional Distribution Centre.
Our partnership with CK also offers Amco’s customers access to their specialist services which includes reactive pre-planned quality inspection services.
CK Quality are also able to provide contract engineering resources to support areas such as New Product Introduction, Resident Engineering and Quality Improvement Activities.
Together these partnerships offer our customers the ability to add WMS technology solutions and quality inspection, rework and quality containment to their existing Amco relationship and benefit from reduced cost and improved ROI as a result.
