Customer Terms and Conditions

General
The following terms and conditions apply to the services provided by Amco Services (International) Limited (“Amco”). In the event of any conflict with existing Service Level Agreements/ contracts, the terms and conditions of the Service Level Agreements/ contracts prevail.

Quotations
Quotations require verbal or written acceptance and are provided, Errors and Omissions Excepted, on the basis of information supplied by the customer being correct including declaration of all dangerous goods and perishable or outsize cargo.
Quotations are subject to availability at the time of booking and customer acceptance and the timing of service delivery is subject to traffic, weather and crossing. Additional charges may arise during the course of executing the service e.g. waiting time which will be communicated to the customer and added to the quoted cost at the time of invoicing. Quotations are also subject to unforeseen increases in operating costs e.g. government changes to legislation, fuel cost increases etc.
Amco retain the right to withdraw or revise quotations at any time.

Terms of service
Amco conducts its business under British International Freight Association (BIFA) terms and conditions with the exception of UK to UK transport which is provided under Road Haulage Association (RHA) 2017 terms and conditions and all warehousing which is provided under UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) terms and conditions.

Insurance
Insurance cover in the event of damage or loss is provided per BIFA, RHA or UKWA terms as applicable. Additional insurance cover above these terms can be provided on request and will be added to your quotation. Consequential loss insurance cover is not available.

Payment
Invoices are payable on presentation unless you have a credit account with Amco, in which case the payment terms are end of month of invoice plus 30 days or as contractually agreed. All VAT and Duty advances are subject to immediate payment. All air charters are payable within 7 days.

All queries in respect of invoices received need to be raised within 7 days and sent to accounts-receivable@amcoservices.co.uk for logging and resolution.

Under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, Amco reserve the right to charge statutory interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate for the late payment period as well as any reasonable debt recovery costs.

Claims
All claims for loss or damage need to be made in writing to the Operations Director setting out the basis of the claim including:
• weights of lost or damaged goods
• cost of lost goods/ cost of repair as evidenced by supporting documentation
• copy of the sales invoice
• photographic evidence of damage to goods
• scrap/ salvage costs of damaged goods as evidenced by supporting documentation

All the above information will be forwarded to Amco’s insurers for their review. All claims need to be notified in writing to Amco within 7 days of delivery and all necessary information to support the claim received within 14 days of notification.
Please do not dispose of the goods until the claim is resolved as the insurers or loss adjusters may request that these are inspected.
No rights of set off exist in respect of any insurance claims submitted. Under no circumstances shall monies be withheld or deducted from payments in respect of any claims or potential claims.
